"If you want to measure the impact the arts have on an individual's life, then I can tell you that for me, theatre matters."

- Justin Davis, Graduate of The Old Globe Military Veterans Apprenticeship Program, 2017

Every day, The Old Globe makes theatre matter in countless ways – and in ways you may not expect. Your gift can make theatre matter. Give today. Now until December 31, your new or increased gift will be matched one-to-one by The Conrad Prebys Foundation, doubling your impact.

Your gift will support all the extraordinary work of The Old Globe and make theatre matter to more people.

Productions and People

You love The Old Globe’s world-class productions and the people who make them happen. Our sublime productions bring joy and laughter, connect us to each other, and remind us of our common humanity.

Arts Engagement and Humanities

The Old Globe’s nationally renowned Arts Engagement programs serve 50,000 each year and galvanize members of our community through participatory theatre experiences and Globe for All tours of plays to community settings. The Globe’s Humanities programs, such as Thinking Shakespeare Live!, explore plays in context and make connections to broader issues and ideas.

The Next Generation

All young people deserve access to great theatre. The Globe offers free student matinees, programs in theatre performance and design, teacher and student workshops, and resources for the youth of San Diego.

New Work and Artists

Theatre doesn’t exist without the playwrights, actors, designers, and directors to create and perform the shows you love. Salute the new plays and the talented artists who make theatre happen with a generous gift.

A More Equitable Future

The Old Globe serves the public good, including expanding opportunities for everyone in our community. Our community-developed Social Justice Roadmap points the way, and with your help, The Old Globe can offer programs to welcome all people through inclusive artistic, audience, and employment initiatives.
